The first virtual reality video about the extra virgin olive oil production in Greece

A new trend of tourism that has been developing in recent years is experiential tourism. More and more people who visit our country are looking to live a unique experience regarding the production processes of agricultural products such as extra virgin olive oil.

Our company has been active in the field of olive oil production since 1932. In 2020 we presented our new olive tourism programs with the aim of informing our visitors about the production of extra virgin olive oil. In our effort to present an experiential program where our visitors will experience the entire production process regardless of season, we developed the first virtual reality video in Greece on the cultivation, production & bottling process of extra virgin olive oil.

With the help of technology we developed a complete virtual presentation, through which our visitors take a journey of 12 months experiencing an unforgettable experience. They learn the history of our place and our family. They know the product that is inextricably linked to the history and culture of our country!

Wearing the virtual reality mask, the visitors are guided from the Isthmus of Corinth to the shores of the Saronic Gulf, an area where our family olive groves are located. They o

bserve all the work that needs to be done on the olive trees, before we get to the most important time of the year – the picking of the fruit. They see and “participate” in the olive harvesting process. Moreover they see the production process within our olive mill as well as the bottling process of our own Soligea range of products.

Combining our many years of experience with the innovation of virtual reality, we seek to pass on to the visitors our knowledge & love for extra virgin olive oil!
